A little of this, little of that...

These past 2 weeks have been a blur! Rowan is finally starting to get into the swing of things around the Love household. Although, she and Avalynn still fight like sisters :).

And finally...Craig returns today! He's been gone for 2 long weeks to Boston for training. I hate being home alone and this single mom stuff is for the birds! Not having my mom here to help was tough. We did go spend the weekend with her though...needed a change of pace.

I was able to do a few projects around the house while Craig was gone. Not as much as I wanted because of all the rain we had! I swear it's rained everyday.

I'll have to upload some pictures later. I downloaded Google+ because I take so many pictures with my phone, but just can't get it to work.

I'm Back! and House Makeover

Didn't get many blog posts in before I went on a hiatus. Life just got busy! I have to say, much has happened since October. Here's a quick recap:
  • Avalynn turned 2
  • Craig switched positions with his company and is now a sales rep :)
  • We officially put our house on the market
  • I quit my job at the insurance agency
  • My parents moved to Richmond Hill
  • LoveBugz had its 1 year anniversary
  • My little brother was married!
  • I started keeping a little girl 4 days a week.
  • And in just a few short days, Craig and I will be celebrating our 7 year anniversary!
It has just been non stop over here at the Love house. Now that I'm home full time and only sew during nap and the evenings, that leaves me more time for blogging! It will probably take me a little while to get back into the swing of things. I love reading all of my friends blogs so thanks guys for motivating me :)

I have decided to do a few "tweaks" to the house to make it have more of a cottage feel. You'll probably think I'm crazy with the colors I'm going to go with and if it doesn't look good, I'm blaming my hairdresser who gave me the idea!

House as of right now.
Right now our house is cute but it still has potential to be cute. I made wreaths similar to this to put on all the windows on the front of the house.

I have a bigger wreath withe forsythia in it for my front door. Next, this is were it gets crazy, I've decided to go bold and paint both porch floors black and paint my doors turquoise with a amber blaze like the picture below.

Of course then Craig'll screen in the porch like I've been asking for, for the past 4 years. Have you guys seen the play mat "rugs" on Pinterest? I bought some last night to paint but realized after I opened them these didn't have the border so I'm going to try and "trim" the edges off.
I, of course, can't paint so I think a simple chevron pattern will work for me. Thinking turquoise chevron and then outlined in yellow.

Ok, that's enough house talk for a post. I'm decorating some on the inside as well, but we'll save that for another day :).
